First is the Olympics. Now HOLD on, you’re all thinking “huh? That’s a sport thing man, what are you talking about?”
It is, until the sun goes down. Vancouver and Whistler right now is THE place to be right now. BIG name stars doing paid & free shows it’s ridiculous. Ever heard of Bedouin Soundclash? Wintersleep? Marianas Trench? Deadmau5? That’s right folks, theyre are performing back to back to back. Some shows starting as early as 5pm and it’s not all big name bands either, we have local concerts all around vancity and I’ll be keeping you informed ASAP if they’re good, or just damn horrible.

Now, BIG news of the week, maybe the whole month, D.O.A’s Joe Keithley opted not, I repeat NOT to make hid band’s, “The Olympics Can Go To Hell” avaliable on iTunes after warnings of possible lawsuits. But Vancouver punk progenitors: the Furies, have no fears for their MySpace release, “Olympic Madness.”
They believe that banning the right to distribute this song is against freedom of speech. The band leader: Chris Arnette believes history will judge the Olympics harshly as the homeless in Downtown Vancouver are forced to relocate some 7km away, spending six BILLION dollars on jocks, appropriation of aboriginal culture, and shameless stupid advertising of death-squad drinks, bad food and all the other idiocy that comes along with the Olympucs. The words in the song could be said to be obscene, but it’s the strong reaction against the [italicize:real] real obscenity.
The band continues to perform live in small clubs and minor festivals but as of yet, have not made any substantial sales from their iTunes releases.

North Korea puts FURTHER pressure on U.S to start bilateral talks by declaring that it had completed reprocessing its spent nuclear fuel for use in a bomb. I think North Korea ought to just shut the fuck up an start co-operating. What do you think? All this propaganda and fear that’s coming from North Korea, it’s affecting all of us I guess. We’re always afraid whether North Korea would fire a nuclear weapon or not. It’s ridik.

Just 3 weeks after her “Fame Kills” tour with Kanye West was cancelled, she announced plans for another concernt called “The Monster Ball” -I’ll keep you guys posted on this one.
-Swine Flu.
Now, this is the topic of the season, nearly everyone’s affected by this and thanks to a shipping delay by GlaxoSmith, we can’t get the Swine Flu vaccine in Canada for atleast another week. I know! crazy right? Then, here’s more bad news, children under the age of 10 should receive 2 doses and anyone pregnant should receive 1 dose.
There’s also this scare that the flu shot will cause paralysis, but this is rare. I mean REALLY REALLY rare, as it’s a 1 : million ratio that it ever happens. So, I ask you, should you get the flu shot? are you going to get it? Reply on my Twitter.

Today, I started the 100 pushup challenge: which is a challenge that would ultimately achieve 100 pushups without rest. Apparently, it can achieve this, through a rigorous 5 week phase. Nice.
